In 1967 - College was started for Diploma in Nursing Education Course with the annual intake of 10 Students.

In 1970 – B.Sc( Nursing) for Trained Nurses Course was started with annual intake of 20 students.

In 1980 – The number of seats for B.Sc( Nursing) for Trained Nurses was increased with annual intake of 30 students.

In 1983 – B.Sc( Nursing) for 4 Year Course was started with annual intake of 25 students.

In 1991 –The number of seats for B.Sc( Nursing) for Trained Nurses was increased with annual intake of 40 students.

In 1995 – M.Sc( Nursing) Course was started with annual intake of 8 students.

In 2008 – The number of M.Sc( Nursing) seats is increased from 8 to 22 students annually

Utilize the knowledge from physical, biological, behavioural sciences and humanities in the practice of nursing.

Initiate changes to improve the quality in the nursing practice by participating in the nursing research.

Physical Facilities
The College of Nursing is situated in the eastern wing of the Nurses’ quarters. The building has ground + three floors.
