CADAVER DISSECTION – HANDS ON WORKSHOP CONDUCTED BY DEPARTMENT OF NEURO SURGERY AND INSTITUTE OF ANATOMY

The Department Of Neurosurgery Institute Of Neurology and the Institute of Anatomy in Coordination with the Global Hospital and Health City, Chennai conducted CADAVER DISSECTION – HANDS ON WORKSHOP on Monday the 27^th July, 2009. The Workshop was on Endoscopic Spinal Surgery.

DR. JAOCHIM OERTEL, Department of Neurosurgery, University Medical Center of the Johannes

Gutenberg University, Mainz, Germany and Dr.Sathish Chandra Gore, Spine and Endoscopic Surgeon ,Pune, Maharashtra were the Visiting Faculties who conducted the Endoscopic Approach to Spine, Cadaver Dissection Hands on Workshop.

Eighty five delegates from all over India attended the programme. Dr.J.Mohanasundaram, Dean, Madras Medical College and Govt. General Hospital, Chennai presided over the function and inaugurated the Workshop.

This is the first of its kind Workshop to be conducted in this part of India.

On 26^th July 2009, live Operative Demonstration of Endoscopic Surgery of the Spine and Brain were conducted at Global Hospital and Health City, Chennai by the Visiting Faculty.
